RISE Armament RA-905 Lightweight 15" M-Lok Handguard

One of the best ways to personalize any custom AR-15 build is by choosing your handguard. In today's market, freefloat handguards have definitely become the most popular. Freefloat handguards are made to cover the barrel and are securely connected to the upper receiver using a steel or aluminum barrel nut. Your handguard accomplishes an array of functional applications in an AR-15 build kit including protecting the shooter's hand from the hot barrel, offering the shooter plenty of space to hold the weapon for maximum control while firing, serving as the installation point for sights/optics, providing additional space for other accessories attached, and also, helping create the aesthetic that you want for your build.

It is recommended that your handguard completely cover the gas system of the AR-15, so please take your gas system length into account when choosing a handguard. About This Handguard: This 15" long RA-905 Lightweight AR-15 Freefloat Handguard from RISE Armament features an M-Lok rail mounting system.

Anti-Rotation Tabs: The anti-rotation tabs equipped on this AR-15 freefloat handguard are used for indexing the handguard top rail to maintain alignment with the top rail of the upper receiver. Handguards with anti-rotation tabs are recommended to be used with Mil-Spec upper receivers or other forged AR-15 uppers as they are too narrow to fit within the dimensions of AR-15 uppers machined from billet aluminum.

Type Of Top Rail: This handguard is CNC machined with a Picatinny rail across the end of the handguard.

Profile: The RA-905 Lightweight freefloat handguard is made with a slim profile. This is a great design for shooters with small hands and creates a unique look for the entire AR-15 build.

Barrel Nut: This RISE Armament Handguard comes with a high-quality steel barrel nut and mounting hardware.

Finish: To maintain corrosion resistance the RA-905 Lightweight Handguard is treated with a Type 3 hardcoat anodizing.
