Upper Receivers mount and house the barrel, handguard, and gas system in a AR-15 or LR-308/AR-10. Mil-Spec upper receivers are made to 'Military Specification' and are meant to either match or exceed the miltary requirements imposed onto the design for its service rifles. Mil-Spec Enhanced upper receivers feature all of the qualities of a 'Mil-Spec' upper receiver and incorporate various minor cosmetic, and design changes, externally, while retaining all of the features and functionality of a standard Mil-Spec upper receiver.

Brand: Aero Precisionâ€™s roots are deeply tied to aerospace, and their drive for clean, perfect engineering and machining stems from that. When youâ€™re building something that will fly in the air, there is no margin for error. Aero Precision takes that same approach in the firearms industry. About this Upper: This upper LR-308/AR-10 receiver features a standard 'Mil-Spec' design made out of Forged 7075-T6 Aircraft Grade Aluminum. With a Standard rifle cartridge size ejection door. Made by Aero Precision, the M5 FDE Upper is precision CNC machined with strength reinforcing contours.

Material: Forged 7075-T6 Aluminum - 7075-T6 Aluminum is a high strength alloy metal with great ductility, toughness, and resistance against fatigue. 7075-T6 was standardized for use in Aerospace equipment and aircraft. The Suffix T6 is a temperament treatment to increase the overall toughness and strength of the Aluminum. 7075-T6 Aluminum was chosen for the AR-15 platform for its ease of manufacturing, lightweight properties, and strength.

Style: Mil-Spec Enhanced - Mil-Spec Enhanced is a further modification of standardized Mil-Spec parts, this would mean that the specific part meets the essential technical requirements for the US Military, but has been modified for commercial use.

Finish: Cerakote - Cerakoted firearms parts are finished in a 'ceramic' coating that increases the resistance against parts wear and increase abrasion and corrosion resistance, the resulting product has incredible durability and hardness on top of the original metal.

Caliber Compatibility: This upper receiver will work with standard battle rifle cartridges such as .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, .243 Winchester, .338 Federal, and .300WSM.

Top Section: Flat Top Rail - This upper receiver features a full 1913 Picatinny rail for the additional Optics installation and Iron Sight installation.
