A muzzle device's crush washer should be replaced every time the muzzle device is taken off or proper quench distance of flash hiders and for proper alignment for comps.

Don't risk putting on an old one; it can cause over pressure on some flash hiders and cause damage, so buy some today to protect your muzzle device investment.
