Davidson Defense Black Diamond Series AR-15 Slick Side Billet Upper Receiver, USA Made

This is one great looking stripped upper... the lines from the CNC billet process is awesome, and with the matte anodizing is well... sexy looking. There are three drawbacks. One is using a clam-shell upper vise block... not recommended though I managed to use one. Prepare to use a lower 1/2 pinned block set, or a reaction rod. Though a reaction rod is moot with a 9MM barrel. Issue two though not huge is if you choose to use a ejection port door. There is no way to use a c-clip since the port rod runs the entire length of the ejection port. It's not a show stopper, but it's fine without a port door, or with mine I used a handguard that butted directly over the rod exit hole. Third issue is using a handguard with anti-rotation tabs... it will not work with this upper. The handguard (NO anti-rotation tabs) I did use mated perfectly with the upper, and on top of an Aero Precision M4E1 lower receiver. I think my AR-9 pistol looks awesome with the Davidson Defense Black Diamond Upper... lastly I'm using the drop in (push up) AD9 9MM Colt Mag Conversion with this upper. For the price, and billet configuration of the stripped upper is a great value.

Just received two of these for lightweight AR builds. Really cool looking, great finish, and matched up with my Polymer lowers. Fit like a glove and looked like they were made for each other. Don't think about it, just buy it.
