Gauntlet Arms "Crest Series" High Profile 17" LR-308 M-Lok Handguard

One of the most important parts of any LR-308 is the handguard. Handguards have gone through many changes over the years from the plastic clamshell-style to the free float system. Both systems give the shooter a comfortable grip while protecting their hand from the heat that radiates from the barrel. Both systems have many different designs and features built into them but the free float system tends to be more modular. While some of the drop-in handguards offer M-Lok slots and QD mount points, most free float systems offer those same options and usually more available slots. Most handguard options have built-in options for mounting lights, lasers, pop-up sights, etc., and those that don't have them built-in may have M-Lok or Keymod options for mounting accessories.

About This Handguard: The 17" High Profile M-Lok Freefloat Handguard from Gauntlet Arms features an M-Lok rail mounting system and partial top rail for easy modern hand-over bore rifle grips.

QD: Without needing to purchase extra accessories and mounting points for slings the Gauntlet Arms handguard comes with 4 QD mounting points for quick attach and detach of slings.

Quad Rail: The "Crest Series" Handguard features a 2" section of quad-rail at the end for simple attachment of Lights, Laser Systems, & Bipods.

Cuts: Slim - This 17" High Profile M-Lok Freefloat Handguard from Gauntlet Arms Handguard is designed with large filet shapes cut into the handguard. This method not only improves the aesthetic of the handguard but keeps it lightweight without affecting the strength or function of the handguard.

Finish: To maintain corrosion resistance the "Crest Series" handguard is treated with a Type 3 hardcoat anodizing in black.

Material Of Handguard: The Gauntlet Arms 17" High Profile Free Float Handguard is precision CNC machined from a high-quality 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum billet.
